Supporting teachers in Indigenous culture and history education.
We seek to start an important conversation in Australian schools and classrooms, by empowering teachers to include Indigenous culture and history in their curriculum and lesson plans.
Respectful knowledge
Each framework consists of its own themes and activities respectful to Indigenous culture and elders. Your students will be able to explore local stories and cultural insights in each lesson.
Classroom guidance
You’ll be able to utilise a framework for teaching stages is in line with the Australian Curriculum documents. Each level consists of teaching outlines, lesson plans, and a list of resources suitable for use.
Age specific learning
Our program is focused on early childhood, primary and secondary levels. Therefore, every lesson offers the appropriate level of insight and engagement for your students.
“The young people I meet in classrooms are eager to learn about Indigenous culture and history. Their teachers are keen to help them learn. I am excited to offer Empower To Teach to schools and teachers across Australia as one way to help this to happen.”
— Glenn Loughrey, Empower to Teach

What Teachers Are Saying.
“Glenn Loughrey’s being actively involved with the students across all year levels. His inspiration, knowledge and warmth will be most appreciated as we all learn together about our First Nation Peoples, and show them how to connect their stories through a creative medium.”
